Remember when toilet roll was the biggest trend of lockdown? Those were dark days. Thankfully, it\u2019s been dethroned (pun not intended) by something much cooler \u2013 pink hair. It\u2019s everywhere. Our Instagram feeds are full of celebrities and other very-cool people (girls\u00a0and\u00a0<\/i>guys) sporting pink hair. I mean, if it\u2019s good enough for\u00a0Dua Lipa<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Sarah Michelle Gellar.<\/a><\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve made it to week 7 without trying it then we commend you \u2013 but also, like, you really should go for it.<\/p>\n

The colour and tone of your pink will depend on a couple of things \u2013 the colour of your hair before and the tone of the dye. Pastels or ultra-bright, neon shades can only be achieved if your hair is almost white beforehand. If your hair is darker, deeper, more pigmented dyes will work best.<\/p>\n

Go with a semi-permanent formula that fades over a few washes (look for dyes that fade \u2018true to colour\u2019 \u2013 this means your hair will fade to the same colour it was before).\u00a0There\u2019s slightly more upkeep involved but it\u2019s commitment-free and it\u2019s better for your hair.<\/p>\n

Washing your hair with cold water (and less often) will help keep your colour for longer. Add a bit of the dye to your conditioner for an easy freshen up.<\/p>\n
