And how do we find the answers to these all-important questions? Well, that’s down to Treatwellers like you. Yep, when it comes to Treatwell’s Top Rated – your reviews help decide who gets the gold stars. Simply show some love to your favourite salons by reviewing your appointments. Those who reach the Top (Rated) get a shiny badge on their Treatwell profile. And you? Well, you get to find and book the best by the badge, and enjoy Top Rated experiences more easily than ever. After all, you deserve nothing less. 😌

What Top Rated *really* means, and why every badge means brilliance
Every year, we celebrate the salons creating 5-star experiences for our customers. It’s reserved for the best of the best: those who go above and beyond to turn salon visits into memorable experiences. Those salons receive a ‘Top Rated’ badge on their profile on Treatwell’s marketplace website and app – to showcase their top-notch status to the world. What’s more, customers like you can find them by using the ‘Top Rated’ filter, to book salon stars without the endless scrolling.
The ‘Top Rated’ badge is a guarantee of brilliance. It requires talent, dedication, creativity, and effort from those who earn it. So, every time you book by the Top Rated badge, you’re guaranteed a 5-star experience.
How we badge the best
Wondering how we decide who reaches Top Rated status? It’s thanks to our treatment-loving customers. We believe that genuine feedback from clients like you is the best way to truly understand which salons should reach the top.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be inviting you to book, review, and repeat – to help scout out the stars amongst our salons. Already have a favourite salon in mind, who do you think deserves to be in the spotlight? Give them a helping hand by making a booking and leaving a glowing review. Don’t forget to leave honest reviews for any previous appointments you’ve had this year, too. You have until 22nd October to leave your reviews – the race is *officially* on.
In order for a salon to achieve Top Rated 2023 status, they need to meet the following criteria:
- They must have received at least 70 reviews between 1st January and 22nd October 2023 (inclusive)
- Of these reviews, at least 95% need to be a glowing 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Listen – we know that life happens. You go home, you get distracted, and you forget to leave that review you’d thought about leaving. Don’t worry – we’ve been there. But, when it comes to Top Rated, every star counts – and your reviews are key to finding salon excellence.
Why leave fair and honest reviews? Well, that’s simple. We’ve all had those appointments that leave you feeling a little less than impressed. A mani that doesn’t quite match your perfectly prepared inspo pic; a facial that doesn’t make you feel as fresh as you’d hope; a trim that doesn’t give you that tip top feeling.
Now, imagine you’d used the ‘Top Rated’ filter on Treatwell whilst searching for a new spot to try. You can see the salons that have reached the heights of Top Rated – and the glowing reviews that have put them there. Which means you can book with confidence, knowing that they’re at the top of their game.

More reviews = more Treatwell Rewards
You probably already know about Treatwell Rewards – our loyalty programme that treats you for treating yourself (and if you don’t you can read all about it here). What you *might* not know, is that we don’t just give you Treatwell Rewards points for every booking you make through Treatwell – we also reward you for every single review you leave. Yep, that means more points for you to exchange for vouchers to spend on future treatments. It’s simple, really. You’ll get:
- 10 points for reviewing a salon that has more than 50 reviews
- 30 points for reviewing a salon that has fewer than 50 reviews
So, all you have to do is book, review, and repeat to make your self-care experience even more rewarding.
How to leave reviews
Sharing your opinions couldn’t be easier. Just follow these instructions:
Head to the Treatwell desktop website:
- Make sure you’re logged into your account, and click on ‘My account’
- Click ‘View all’ under the ‘Bookings’ section, then scroll down to find the appointment you want to review
- Click ‘Leave a review’ (you’ll also see here how many points your review will be worth)
- Select between 1-5 stars for each aspect of your experience, and click ‘Next’ when you’re done
- Write at least 40 characters in the box provided
- Remember to click ‘Submit’
- Sit back and enjoy your Treatwell Rewards points, which will be added to your account shortly after your review has been posted
Or, hop on the Treatwell app:
- Make sure you’re logged into your account, and tap on ‘Bookings’
- Scroll down to the appointment you want to review
- Tap ‘Leave a review’ (you’ll also see here how many points your review will be worth)
- Select between 1-5 stars for each aspect of your experience
- Write at least 40 characters in the box provided
- Remember to tap ‘Submit’
- Sit back and enjoy your Treatwell Rewards points, which will be added to your account shortly after your review has been posted

If you haven’t had any appointments since 1st January 2023, or if you’ve already reviewed all of your appointments, then go ahead and make a new booking. Just remember that all reviews need to have been left by 22nd October 2023 in order to count towards this year’s Top Rated.
