Melissa is a Registered General Nurse who qualified in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree from Queen’s University Belfast. She further advanced her specialist training by completing a Higher Diploma in Cardiovascular and Critical Care Nursing through Trinity College Dublin in conjunction with St James' Hospital.
Melissa specialised in intensive care and cardiology nursing before progressing to a Clinical Nurse Specialist role in Heart Failure, where she played a key role in launching Heart Failure Virtual Consultation Clinics between secondary and primary care services. Recognising the growing need for advanced nursing leadership within community settings, she completed a Master of Science in Advanced Practice and Nurse Prescribing at University College Dublin in 2018.
Now practising as a Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner in General Practice, Melissa has a special interest in chronic disease management, health screening, and preventative medicine. She also holds a Professional Certificate in Dermoscopy and has completed advanced training in minor surgical skills, enabling her to provide comprehensive skin assessment, lesion evaluation, and minor surgical procedures safely and effectively.
As founder of a nurse-led clinic in health and aesthetics, Melissa combines her extensive clinical expertise with a strong commitment to patient-centred care. Her approach integrates medical precision with evidence-based aesthetic practice, ensuring the highest standards of safety, ethical care, and natural results. Her background in advanced practice allows her to deliver holistic assessments that prioritise overall health and wellbeing alongside aesthetic goals.
Melissa remains actively involved in advancing the role of Advanced Nurse Practitioners nationally and continues to champion excellence, innovation, and education within nursing practice.
