I rarely get my nails done professionally so I could barely remember how shellac is removed, but was surprised to have the shellac removed by electric filing and not using acetone. I asked friends and they were surprised too. think it was very harsh on my nails. They are rough in places and weakened after only 2 weeks. The filing was hot at times.
